I personally do not believe you can have too much bathroom storage. Let’s face it. There are lots of things that you need to store in the bathroom, where you use them. It really doesn’t make a lot of sense to store your soap, shampoo and conditioner in the laundry room, when you don’t shower there. Unfortunately, most bathrooms are sadly lacking in adequate built-in storage facilities. That means you either put up with a cluttered bathroom or you go shopping.
Bathroom storage needs to hold a lot more than just those spare rolls of toilet paper. Let’s start with the basics. You need linens. Towels, washcloths and other bath linens have to be somewhere when they are not hanging on the towel rack. You could put it under the sink, in that tiny cabinet with the drainpipe hanging down in the middle? But, if you’re like most folks, you’ve already got that pretty full with things like spare rolls of toilet paper. So, why not purchase a towel cabinet, either the enclosed, wall-mounted variety or a stand up that creates open shelving above the toilet tank? Both would hold lots of spare linen and solve one of your storage issues.
Another important sort of storage required in the bathroom is that utilized for items that are part of your personal hygiene plan. These can go under the sink… if there is room. Still, you definitely want them out of sight. If there is no room under the sink, then once again the wall mounted enclosed cabinet would be a good bet.
The sort of storage you buy is determined by the kinds of things and the sheer volume you need to store. Still, since no bathroom looks clean if it’s cluttered, do you and your family a favor. Invest in some additional bathroom storage fast. You’ll be glad you did.
