How to organize your shoes in a small space

Are afraid of another morning that starts with digging through the jumbled mess consisting of your slippers, loafers, running shoes and boots, piled inside your closet? In spite of you being able to spot your desired pair of shoes, you might not be ready to shuffle off to the Buffalo! You should be ready and well-heeled for meetings every day, with shoes that are organized in an appropriate way. Even if you have less space available, you can still manage to organize your shoes  in a small place by following some handy tips.

You should start by gathering all the shoes that you own, that might have been scattered all over your home. The ones which are beyond repair should be discarded. This will save you a good bit of space, as you’ll not have any useless pairs cluttering the closet anymore. Before you organize your shoes in a small place, you should see which pairs can be repaired, and make a plan to take them to the shop. Now the shoes should be sorted into appropriate groups. They can be sorted by the frequency of their use; for example, those only for special occasions and those that are used almost daily, as well as by color (within each group). Once sorted, they should be separated according to the season for which they are used. Eliminating the duplicates, shoes that don’t fit any longer and shoes that have past their prime can be handy, and it helps to organize your shoes in a small place. You should only keep those pairs of shoes that you love and wear often.

Now you should count the number of pairs that are remaining, and use appropriately-sized shoe organizers for their storage. Consider the space you have available when buying the organizer rack. You can choose the vertical hanging ones or the horizontal shelves for maximizing available space. Such an organizer helps you to organize your shoes in a small space.

These organizers should now be used for the sake of arranging the shoes. The daily favorites for the current season should be placed right in front. Try to store shoes for only special occasions, and those that are not for the current season, on higher shelves of the closet inside their respective shoe boxes.

For the sake of easy identification, you can also consider photographing all the shoes, and taping the photos onto the shoe box. This allows you to quickly choose whichever pair you need. The same process should be repeated every season. A good plan for organization should be considered important if you are worried about your shoes being scattered all over the floor, and if you have a smaller space for storing them. This organizes your shoes in a small space and reduces the effort and frustration faced while getting ready in the mornings, or while getting ready for special occasions. One may not always have time to search the house for the pair of shoes required.
