Redecorating any room can be create as much work and worry as it does fun and anticipation. A bath can be particularly difficult when you are doing a major remodel. If you are changing out fixtures such as the tub or toilet, there will be periods you won’t have water or “facilities”. In a two-bathroom home or apartment this is no big deal. In a one-bath home, however, it is problematic. Still, if you’ve clearly mapped out the bathroom design ideas you want to put in place, your remodel will go swiftly and things will soon be back to normal bathroom furniture
If you are creating a new look in your bathroom by replacing outdated fixtures, choose a design plan that allows for easy replacement of existing ones. If you go with a bath or shower stall in a completely different shape and configuration, the plumbing issues created by having to re-do the old fixture’s plumbing to accommodate the new ones will be long and painful. You can get an updated tub or toilet that can use the plumbing in place and still bring new style to the room. You just have to shop very carefully.
Another drawback to some bathroom design ideas is all about surfaces and not plumbing. If you currently have wallpaper on your walls in the bathroom, you can’t just paint over that surface. The paper is pain to take off and, in the end, many homeowners are forced to rip out the walls and put in new water-resistant drywall and then prime and paint that.
So, be sure you figure on the cost of the labor as well as the new fixtures or paints when you redecorate a bath. You will enjoy your new bathroom look even more if you stay within your budget while achieving it.
