If you have a small bathroom , one that is so tiny you wish you could knock a wall out to add some space, the idea of a remodel hardly seems worth the while. After all, you only have enough space for the basics and to turn around. What’s the point in some fresh paint and new fixtures when it will still be tiny and cramped? The point is, the room can seem larger and actually look bigger if you employ some basic remodeling ideas for very small bathrooms furniture stores
First, consider your fixtures. You probably have the basic three: sink, toilet, tub/shower. You need those in a bathroom. What you may not need are the ones you have. A corner shower unit can free up lots of space allowing you to move the toilet at an angle away from the spray of the sink’s faucet! Some built in shelving over the toilet can be a great mini-linen closet for towels, wash clothes and soaps. Even the vanity holding your sink can be updated with a space-saver model that further increases the amount of unused floor space in the room, making it bigger functionally as well as in appearance.
Now that you have all that space, use your colors wisely. You’ll want light colors but not so bland they all bleed into one another. I like a multi-colored tile floor and then pick up some of the tile colors in the fixtures, the towels and other linens, even the toilet tank cover. Keep clutter in the room to a minimum. In an ultra-small bath, clutter actually shrinks the room.
Those are just a few basic remodeling ideas for very small bathrooms. Add a few personal flourishes that show off your own style, and the room will soon look like you did knock out the wall, and that’s a great feeling.
