Remember watching movies about the old West? You’d see rickety towns on a windswept prairie furniture stores . They’d have the standard buildings: a jail, a barber’s shop, a livery stable and there was, of course, the proverbial saloon. In those movies, the saloon was the center of the town’s social activities, much as a bar or club is in our towns today. In fact, many of today’s clubs and bars are catering to a more country crowd, and find that furnishing their bars cowboy style can really pack the patrons in on good nights. One of the ways they draw this group in is by playing their music. Another way they lure them in is with the right décor. From an old west saloon bar to a good western bar stools , these pub owners are going all out for the look of a bar that Wyatt Earp might feel at home in.
These western styled clubs might be the inspiration you need for decorating your own home bar up in the same sort of theme. You don’t have to spend a fortune to get the western look. Swap out your regular bar stool for a western bar stool and then change out a few accessories. Soon your buddies will be wearing their Stetson hats and calling your wife “Ma’am” when they visit to watch the game or play cards.
A western styled bar won’t have a back. Remember that, in those western movies, some guy always walked behind the hero and tapped him on the back to start trouble. Of course, the hero could see him in the mirror and that was that. In the real “old west” the stools wouldn’t have swiveled, but many in western style today do. That means you get the feel of the old west and fun of a great stool where your buddies can saddle up for a night of fun.
