Used Bar Stools, Make It Cheaper To Have A Home Bar

You finally saved up enough money to install the home bar you’ve always wanted. It took some time, but you have a bar that looks great, furniture stores . That’s the good news. The bad news is that you don’t have much left over for all of the things you need to make it functional. You have stemware and a mini-fridge left over from your son’s college dorm days. What you don’t have are the other items of furniture  such as stools, racks, etc. You can get what you need and spend less if you don’t mind doing a little clean up. In case you didn’t know, you can buy used bar stools and other furnishings for a fraction of the cost of buying new. Most just need a little TLC and they’ll be as good as new.

Sometimes, especially with furnishings that have been used in a business, people get the idea that they don’t go on the secondary market until they’re completely shot. While that may be true of some less durable items, bar stools  are not in that category. The stools that are built for use in public bars are of sturdy construction and made of high quality materials. They have to be or the owners of bars won’t even think of buying them. Most of the time, when these come into a used furniture setting, it’s because the bar has either redecorated or closed. The old pieces that are for sale are often in darned good shape. Many just need a good cleaning.

Once you buy the used bar stools and have had their nicks and scrapes buffed out, their finish repaired or painted over, and the seat pads covered with fresh materials, they’ll look like new. Then call the boys over and show it off.
